Teflon Encapsulated Gaskets for Cam and Groove Couplers
Gaskets resistant to chemical attack:
Teflon® Encapsulated Silicone and Viton CAM LOCKING GASKETS: M-Cor Inc. Encapsulated Cam and Groove coupler gaskets are used to replace standard Viton , Buna or Epdm gaskets when cam and groove couplers are used in demanding applications.
FEATURES:
1. High chemical resistance.
2. Wide temperature range: -60C to +205C.
3. Low coefficient of friction .1 to .2 : nonstick surface.
4. Sanitary: Eliminates contamination. Sterilizable ,FDA Compliant and USP CLASS VI compliant encapsulation. *See Compliances. Part 177 of 21 FDA Regulation.
5. Low compression set.
These are the benefits of utilizing an encapsulated gasket:
1. Eliminates Premature Seal Failure: Due to the Teflon encapsulation, the Encap-O-Lock gasket resists chemical attack.
2. Leak Free Service: A core energizer of either silicone or fluoroelastomer provides a continuous intensive contact with the sealing surfaces. An elastomer core energizer eliminates cold flow of Teflon.
3. Non-Stick Surface: Low coefficient of friction provides anti-adhesion properties for easy clean up and
installation.
4. Sterilizable: For use in food processing and pharmaceutical industries.
