Who We Are
M-Cor Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of Teflon® encapsulated O-rings and precision sealing solutions. For more than 37 years, we have supplied high-performance seals to demanding industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, semiconductors, aerospace, chemical processing, and related critical applications.
However, our value is not only in the seal. It is also in the controlled manufacturing process, material traceability, inspection discipline, and documentation behind every product we make.

Our History
M-Cor was incorporated in 1987 by Richard J. Mattera and Ray Mattera with a clear purpose: offer cost-effective, resilient alternatives to solid Teflon® and high-priced FFKM O-rings. Since then, the company has grown through hard work, technical problem solving, and customer trust.

Encapsulated O-Rings
Teflon® encapsulated O-rings are manufactured with silicone, FKM, EPDM, and specialty cores.
Encapsulated Gaskets
In addition, M-Cor offers encapsulated cam lock gaskets and related sealing solutions for demanding environments.
Precision Extrusions
Small-size precision extrusions are produced for close-tolerance and complex-geometry applications.
FFKM Prototypes
Also, M-Cor supports prototype work for custom molded FFKM O-rings used in extreme applications.
Micro Encapsulation
Micro encapsulated O-rings can be produced down to approximately 0.200 inches.
Vertical Integration
Because we use in-house machining and technical processes, we can improve quality control and responsiveness.

Richard J. Mattera
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Richard J. Mattera, CEO and founder of M-Cor Inc., brings more than 38 years of hands-on experience in the sealing industry. As a journeyman tool and die expert with formal training in electrical engineering and software development, he has helped position M-Cor at the front of high-performance sealing innovation.
His background combines precision craftsmanship, process engineering, intelligent automation, and practical manufacturing leadership. As a result, M-Cor continues to invest in systems that improve quality, traceability, and turnaround time.

Richard F. Mattera
President
Richard F. Mattera represents the next generation of M-Cor leadership. With more than 12 years of experience in IT, software development, and enterprise systems, he supports M-Cor’s continued move toward automation, AI, and digital manufacturing.
In addition, his technical background helps connect software, production, and customer requirements. Therefore, M-Cor can continue improving internal systems while serving high-tech markets.

Yvonne Mattera has been part of M-Cor’s story since its founding in 1987. Her experience spans employee relations, customer service, human resources, compliance coordination, contract review, and organizational support.
Moreover, her work helps connect people, policy, customers, and documentation. As a result, she supports both the internal culture and the customer-facing strength of the company.

Because Nicole understands M-Cor’s people, systems, and customers, she helps keep daily operations organized and responsive. In many ways, she supports the rhythm that keeps the company moving.

In Memory of Ray Mattera
A Personal Tribute from Richard J. Mattera
On August 31, 2022, we lost a critical member of our team and my beloved brother, Ray Mattera. Since our founding in 1987, three brothers working out of a 500-square-foot space poured their hearts into building M-Cor Inc. through hard work, tenacity, and persistence.
Ray was more than a co-founder. He was the engine that helped keep us moving forward. As our accountant, he balanced the books with care. As our programmer, he helped make sure our systems ran. In addition, as a lifelong drummer, he kept rhythm both on stage and in our day-to-day work.

- Dedication: he worked with integrity and passion.
- Kindness: he greeted coworkers, customers, and vendors with genuine concern.
- Humor: his quick wit could light up the room.
- Compassion: he loved his pets like family and showed care in simple, honest ways.
His Legacy
