1. AS 568 Standards: Teflon® encapsulated o-rings meet the AS 568/BS/JIS standards as closely as possible. However, they exhibit larger cross-sectional and inside diameter tolerances than dictated by these standards. The tolerances for these encapsulated o-rings conform and exceed straight-length, unspliced extrusions, rather than molded products. M-COR, INC.,  follows the precision standards published in the RMA Handbook (Rubber Manufacturers Association).
2. International O-Ring Dimensional Standards: M-Cor’s Teflon® Encapsulated O-rings are designed to comply with these international standards such as BS (British Standard), JIS ( Japanese Industrial Standard)
3. RMA Handbook: For Teflon® encapsulated o-rings, especially those utilized in critical sealing applications, strict quality control standards are required. The dimensions, including cross-sectional and inside diameter, must meet specific criteria set forth in the Tolerance Chart of our Quality Manual. M-COR, INC. uses the RMA handbook as a guide for surface imperfections control, establishing quantitative levels of acceptance for these o-rings concerning imperfection type, size, and quantity.

Material Inspection: 

1. Physical Properties Testing: Evaluation of tensile strength,elongation and hardness.
2. Force Testing:  Determines compressive load for sealing.

Process Control in Manufacturing:

1. Dimensional Inspection: Measurement accuracy to meet and exceed customer requirements utilizing VCMM automated inspection and documented results if needed.
2. Visual Quality Check: Individual inspection for surface defects and encapsulation integrity or contamination. For large quantities automated robotic vision inspection of individual Teflon® Encapsulated O-Rings for dimensional and surface defects.

Certifications:

1. Documentation: Each batch is supplied with a Certification to ensure our Teflon® Encapsulated O-Rings meet or exceed the requirements of the customer purchase order and M-Cor’s strict quality standard.
2. Traceability: Each batch is supplied with a Record Number unique to that batch for traceability.
