About M-Cor Inc: Here is a historical timeline tracing our progress from our founding in 1987. M-Cor was incorporated in 1987 by Richard “Rick” Mattera , eldest of 3 brothers who had a vision of offering sealing solutions at competitive pricing to OEM’s and resellers of unique sealing products. Our vision was to offer alternative cost effective solutions to high priced FFKM o-rings and a resilient replacement for solid Teflon o-rings.
Today, after 37 years in the sealing industry, we remain committed to the spirit of continual improvement that has fueled our success from the very beginning. Now a privately held corporation, we are proud to build on that legacy by investing in innovative manufacturing processes, expanding our service offerings, and developing cutting-edge products. With these advancements, we reaffirm our dedication to providing the highest-quality solutions—ensuring our valued customers continue to receive unparalleled reliability and performance.
1987:
On May 5th, 1987 M-Cor Inc sold its first encapsulated o-ring.
1992: Expansion to Helena, Montana
In 1992, M-Cor expanded its operations to Helena, Montana. This move increased production capacity and strengthened our manufacturing facilities.
2008: Adding Custom Extrusion
By 2008, M-Cor saw a need for close tolerance FKM and Silicone extrusions. We added advanced extrusion capabilities to meet these requirements and better serve our customers.
2013: CNC Machining Services
In 2013, we expanded again by adding CNC machining. This enabled us to handle unique requests requiring specialized tooling. Our machining services provided more effective solutions for custom applications.
2019: Quality Inspection Systems
In 2019, M-Cor developed automated vision inspection systems. These systems reduced human error, ensuring better quality and consistency. They also enabled us to deliver accurate documentation for clients.
2020: Automated Metrology Systems
In 2020, we responded to requests for greater accuracy in part measurements. We added automated metrology systems, allowing us to confirm our quality standards and provide precise data.
